Recycling and making something out of items lying around the home is something I love doing (see the other things I have made here). Today I have come up with a very simple and recycling idea using empty ice cream containers. The No Excuses household only ever buy the 4 litre sized ice cream (due to the size of our family) and these when empty are stored in our pantry.
These containers have many different uses and I have also used these in the bedroom wardrobes, under the sinks in the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms etc.
Today I changed around our homework and living room areas.
Previously a shelf was placed on the homework table for the storage of pencils, crayons (and everything else needed for homework time). The homework area of our kitchen gets changed around often, however recently we moved our family computer into the main area for online supervision along with having it close on hand to help with the homework and assignments etc.
Once the computer was put into this new position the shelf took a lot of space and even more so with extra children doing homework. The stationery items were then placed onto the centre of the table.
Of course this did not stay tidy and therefore this new idea sprung to mind…
A cheap alternative to buying costly desk organisers.
