Today while preparing this evening's dinner (which

Today while preparing this evening's dinner (which took over an hour)... the power circuit in my #kitchen and #laundry (the two most important areas of the house), kept #tripping the #safetyswitch . I went out several times, switched off appliances - while hoping it wasn't our #fridge.

Hubby (who was busy on a work conference call), finally helped to switch off power outlets I couldn't reach (behind the fridges / washing machine and dryer - the disadvantages of being short 😁).

We then connected extension cords to the other end of the house for the major appliances, but have now pin pointed to either the power point under the kitchen sink OR guess what the #famous @beko.anz #dishwasher 🤬

It's now plugged in and working via an extension cord 😳 but....will be keeping an eye on it. The top shelf is on its way out already though... It keeps collapsing.

Time for a much needed #coffee before the boys return home from school.

Not sure if any of my followers checks out my #website often, however it's been offline for a couple of weeks now. The #hosting company for my No Excuses site wants me to upgrade my current package, but the price is way too high and also some features won't be used, so they suspended my account 😭.

Can anyone recommend an Australian hosting or website company that's trustworthy and/or affordable?

I'd hate to loose all my posts, recipes and everything I've worked on since 2011, when I first started this blogging adventure.

My #muscleinjury #update ;

Since last Friday's #injury (15 July 2022 - see older Post), I've been waking up struggling to take a step out of bed easily.

I've been #walking or #limping around. The pain is still in the back of the #calfmuscle but this morning I've noticed a #lovely #yellow tinge around the ankle area (the scars are from surgery) and the front of my #shin has a new #green #purple and yellow #artwork ( #bruise ) that's formed over night.

Any #physiotherapists can recommend some exercises or pain relief (besides #painkillers )? Should I be off it entirely and use crutches? #physio

(Tomorrow night will be fun, as going out to dinner, and wearing somewhat #heels 👠😳 - #blackstockings will also be required ) !

Mother of the Bride dress shopping sucks 😭. I went into Richmond (one store was a boutique called @everelegant1130 where I had to book the appointment and were not helpful at all), the other was @antheacrawford , then I went to Chadstone.

I must have tried on over 40 dresses today and found nothing suitable (unless I was happy to pay over $1400 with alterations) - this is the only dress that was ok, but I didn't like the colour and the price tag. ⬆️ 😳

Dunno what I'm going to do, wedding is less than two months away 😭

An update regarding my #leftleg. Almost two weeks

An update regarding my #leftleg.

Almost two weeks ago while on our trip away (see older posts). Although the views were #spectacular at Muttonbird Island Reserve (top images not mine as it was quite overcast as you can see from the bottom left image), we did see #dolphins and #rats on our walk, however walking up 45 #metres was definitely not a good idea for one that's had previous #anklesurgery .

After I got to the top I was in lots of pain, but I had to walk down (the car was also a while away, so I waited for hubby to collect me after he made it back to the car).

Long story short, after a week at home and two sessions back at my gym and with a sore ankle still; I knew to not run, jump or do anything stupid on it), I then felt a #rubberband like #snapping sensation and instant pain in my calf.

Thankfully, I didn't snap my #achillies or any #tendons, but have bruised my #calfmuscle and will be out of action for 3 to 4 weeks 😭

BUT at least this minor #injury fixed my #ankle ache 😁👍🏼 (you win some and you lose some)!

Life always throws you a #curveball 😭

I may have #torn my #achilliestendon and been hobbling around back and forth from the Dr to an #imaging place to be told they can't scan or #xray (was literally hopping and using the building walls for support, while men and onlookers just watched 🤬). I've now got a ultrasound at 2pm today.

So I drove home and will get a daughter to drive me back into town.

Meanwhile, I've got to cater for my 3rd daughter's 21st birthday party tomorrow 😳

At least I found another fantastic use for my @9roundpakenham #handwraps to hold the #icepack onto my #calfmuscle

It's been a busy couple of days. Hubby and I should have been home by late Sunday night, however, we had to cancel our flight home to Melbourne due to my FIL suddenly being admitted to emergency gall bladder surgery.

We were in Brisbane Sunday and borrowed a friend's car. I had to drive to the Gold Coast to drop off the hire car, while hubby drove the borrowed car (another hire car was not available). We then drove down the coast - 4+ hours to Coffs Harbour hospital and then staying at the late grandmother's very old home.

Today, between hospital visits, we walked at #sawtell , then upto #muttonbird #island #lookout which is VERY STEEP. Unfortunately, my #foot (the problem one) wasn't upto the #incline just yet and it's #swollen up, #bruised and hard to walk on. I was in pain after I reached the top and found it extremely hard to walk back down.

Had a lovely time yesterday, we went for a swim and spa (after using the gym and where we are staying); later went to the movies - watched Top Gun Maverick - a great movie!

And afterwards found a locals hangout #foodmarket called the @miamimarketta with live music, food stalls and bars. Here we are sitting on old #Victorian era couches, while having a #gincocktail each! #cheers
