- Potatoes peeled and sliced thinly
- Fresh or dried herbs (Italian Mixed Herbs)
- 200 – 250ml Thickened Cream (fresh or long life)
- 1 Large brown onion
- Leek (optional)
- Salt and Pepper
- Parmasen Cheese – (fresh or dried)
- Bread Crumbs
Slice the onion, leek and peeled potatoes thinly
In a baking dish (I used my corning ware), drizzle a little cream on the bottom and spread it over the entire base with a piece of potato.
Arrange a layer of potatoes, then onion, leek, dried herbs, salt and pepper.
Coat the layer with a little cream and some grated Parmasen cheese.
Continue to layer in the same manner until you reach the top of the dish.
On the final layer pour the remaining cream, followed by a light layer of bread crumbs and then parmasen cheese.
Bake in 200C oven for 40 minutes to 1 hour. Dish is cooked when a metal skewer goes through the potatoes easily.
