  1. 150g butter
  2. 1 Cup brown sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 2 Teaspoons instant coffee powder
  5. 2 Cups self~raising flour
  6. ½ Cup Milk
Coffee Butter Cream
  1. 100g butter
  2. ¾ Cup icing sugar
  3. 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  4. 2 Teaspoons instant coffee powder
  1. Pre heat oven to 180C
  2. In mixing bowl mix the butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly followed by the coffee powder and beat until combined.
  4. Next add the self-raising flour and milk; combine until mixture is almost smooth.
  5. Pour into prepared greased cake tin and bake for 35 minutes or if skewer comes out clean when inserted into center of cake.
  6. Leave cake in tin 10 minutes before turning onto wire rack to cool.
Coffee Butter Cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until light and creamy.
  2. Add the icing sugar, brown sugar and coffee powder; beat until is smooth and fluffy.
