Vegetables
  1. Cooked carrots, broccoli and cauliflower
  2. 1 large brown onion
Sauce
  1. 1 tablespoon minced or 2 - 4 cloves of crushed garlic
  2. 60g butter
  3. 2 tablespoons Dijon or whole grain mustard
  4. ½ cup plain flour
  5. 2 cups of milk
  6. Grated tasty cheese
  7. Bread crumbs
  8. ¼ cup freshly chopped parsley
Vegetable Preparation
  1. Steam fresh vegetables until cooked (or can use frozen vegetables and cook as directions on pack).
  2. Arrange onto baking dish.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the garlic and onions. Sauté till onions are soft then add the mustard stirring.
  2. Pour and mix in the flour, stir in milk until sauce thickens. (If too thick, add more milk).
  3. Add about a ¼ of a cup of grated cheese.
  4. Pour and spread over the top of the vegetables, followed by more cheese, then a layer of bread crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
