MUSHROOM SAUCE

This sauce is so easy to make and adjust the quantity when needed. It is also one of those throw together sauces.
50g butter
1 – 2 cups of mushrooms ~ chopped
60ml Worcestershire sauce
100 -120ml cream
Salt & Pepper
Chives / Leeks l Shallots ~ chopped

In a coffee cup, small jug or bowl add the cream and mix in the Worcestershire sauce ~ set aside.

In a saucepan place the mushrooms (and chives, leek or shallots if also using).

Add the butter and sauté for about 2 minutes on high heat.

Next add the cream and Worcestershire mix to the pot, stirring.  Turn heat down to a simmer until the sauce thickens.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

The next step is up to you; if you prefer a smooth sauce, use the hand blender or put into a blender.

Or just serve straight from the saucepan over your cooked meat BBQ steaks and crumbed meats.

Enjoy!
