“Aussie Kidz…….. are Weet-Bix kidz”, here is an easy slice to make with those left over crumbs at the bottom of the Weet-Bix storage container. 

1 handful of crumbs = 1 whole Weet-Bix

Ingredients
  1. 4 x Weet-Bix or Vita Brits
  2. 1 cup self raising flour
  3. ¾ cup brown sugar
  4. ¾ cup desiccated coconut
  5. 1 cup dark chocolate buds
  6. 150g butter ~ melted
Instructions
  1. Line a lamination tin with baking paper and pre heat oven to 180C.
  2. Crumble the weet-bix in a large mixing bowl and add the flour, sugar, coconut and chocolate buds. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the melted butter to the mixture, then press into prepared tray.
  4. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
  5. Stand to cool on rack. Top with melted dark or milk chocolate then leave for about an hour or until the chocolate is firm and cut into squares.
Notes
  1. One hand full of crumbed weet-bix is about the size on one whole weet-bix.

    Excellent looking recipe! With your chocolate topping, when you melt the choc-chips in the s/c, do you put water in to surround the jug? Or just crank up the heat with jug inside? Thanks in advance.

      No water in base of slow cooker/crock-pot. I also had the lid on, however had it open slightly to let some air in.

      I placed on HIGH and it took about 20 – 30 minutes to melt (about the time for the slice to cool down)!
